Dear Tang Soo Do Friends!
On October weekend (17th-18th)in Puławy, Poland, was held Cheezic Tang Soo Do World Championship and Tang Soo Do World Cup, hosted by Polish Tang Soo Do Federation,a representative of Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation.
In the tournament competed about 200 competitors from three continents - they compete in 7 individual categories (traditional forms, modern forms, long stick forms, weapon forms, special techniques, breaking and sparring), 3 team categories (synchronized forms, double match sparring, team sparring) and in 2 Haedong Kumdo categories (Forms and Paper Cutting).
We guested a lot of Tang Soo Do Masters - in it 4 Grandmasters known all around the world:
GRANDMASTER ROBERT CHEEZIC 10 dan from United States,
GRANDMASTER DOMINICK GIACOBBE 8 dan from United States,
GRANDMASTER EDWARD JACOBSEN 8 dan from South Africa,
GRANDMASTER MARK ADLINGTON 8 dan from England.
Championship in forms divisions was judged by highest Black Belt ranks, very rare in history it is possible to complete such an excellent referees on a one ring as placed this time: GM Robert Cheezic 10 dan United States, GM Edward Jacobsen 8 dan South Africa, GM Dominick Giacobbe 8 dan United States, GM Mark Adlington 8 dan England and Master Christoforos Christodoulou 5 dan Greece - judged black belts forms. Commission of that known Masters had never has been on any Tang Soo Do tournament and medalist should be very proud of themselves.
On Sunday ceremonial decoration was done by great and very important Tang Soo Do persons - GM Robert Cheezic, GM Dominick Giacobbe, GM Edward Jacobsen, Master Christoforos Christodoulou, Master Konstantinos Chamilothoris, Master Gregory Hart, Master Adam Gorski, Anna Tarka
from City Hall of Puławy and Antoni Rękas the Director of the Civic Sport Centre - Antoni Rękas.

Drodzy Przyjaciele Tang Soo Do!
W październikowy weekend (17-18) rozegrały się w Puławach, w Polsce, Mistrzostwa Świata Cheezic Tang Soo Do oraz Puchar Świata Tang Soo Do,
organizowane przez Polską Federację Tang Soo Do, reprezentanta Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation.
W zawodach wzięło udział około 200 zawodników z trzech kontynentów - rywalizowali w 7 konkurencjach indywidualnych (formy tradycyjne, formy nowoczesne, formy z kijem, formy z bronią, techniki specjalne, łamania oraz walki), 3 drużynowych (formy synchroniczne, walki doublematch, walki drużynowe), oraz 2 konkurencjach Haedong Kumdo (formy oraz cięcie papieru).
Gościliśmy wielu mistrzów TSD w tym aż 4 Grand Master (Wielkich Mistrzów), znanych na całym świecie:
GRANDMASTER ROBERT CHEEZIC 10 dan z USA,
GRANDMASTER DOMINICK GIACOBBE 8 dan z USA,
GRANDMASTER EDWARD JACOBSEN 8 dan z RPA,
GRANDMASTER MARK ADLINGTON 8 dan z Anglii.
Mistrzostwa w konkurencji form były sędziowane przez najwyższe pasy, dlatego warto podkreślić, że rzadko w historii udaje się zebrać tak znakomity skład sędziowski jak tym razem: GM Robert Cheezic 10 dan USA, GM Edward Jacobsen 8 dan RPA, GM Dominick Giacobbe 8 dan, GM Mark Adlington 8 dan Anglia i Master Christoforos Christodoulou 5 dan Grecja. Sędziowali oni formy czarnych pasów, na żadnych zawodach do tej pory nie było jeszcze komisji sędziowskiej złożonej z tak znanych Mistrzów, dlatego też zdobywcy medali w tych kategoriach powinni być z siebie bardzo dumni.
W niedziele uroczystej dekoracji dokonywali znakomite osobiści TSD - GM Robert Cheezic, GM Dominick Giacobbe, GM Edward Jacobsen, Master Christoforos Christodoulou, Master Konstantinos Chamilothoris, Master Gregory Hart, Master Adam Górski oraz Pani Anna Tarka z Urzędu

I would like to personally invite you to the I-st Open World Championship Cheezic Tang Soo Do which will take place from October 17, 2009 to October 18, 2009 in Pulawy, Poland. The tournament is open to all Tang Soo Do style practitioners around the world. A number of Masters and competitors from the USA and Europe such as from Holland, Germany, England, Greece, Ireland, to name a few, have confirmed their interest in this tournament. The organizators, Mr. Marcin Kostyra from Poland and Master Adam Gorski from the USA would be glad to answer any questions you might have. Hope to see you in Poland.

The Korean Tang Soo Do is known around the world. There are a lot of federations, groups, associations, and clubs today. There might be a lot of differences in uniforms, Black Belt and Gup requirements, differences in forms, certificate style, and other, but one thing we have in common - our love for Tang Soo Do. I would like to invite you to represent your organization in the I-st Open World Championship Cheezic Tang Soo Do where we can show the world that despite some differences, there is only one Tang Soo Do. There will be four categories for you to compete in: Sparring, Weapons, Traditional Forms, and Breaking. You will also have an opportunity to compete in Tang Soo Do First World Cup with categories such as: Modern Forms (Chill Sung and Yuk Ro), Breaking, and Jump Kick.

Koreańska sztuka walki, Tang Soo Do, jest praktykowana na całym świecie. Istnieje wiele organizacji, federacji, stowarzyszeń i klubów. Dzieli nas wiele – różne stroje, różne wymagania na stopnie, sposób wykonanie form, czy wzór certyfikatów. Łączy nas jedno – miłość do Tang Soo Do. Zapraszam Was do zaprezentowania swojej organizacji na I Otwartych Mistrzostwach Świata Tang Soo Do, gdzie pokażemy światu, że mimo różnic, Tang Soo Do jest jedno. W ramach Mistrzostw Świata Cheezic Tang Soo Do, zostanie też rozegrany pięć konkurencji: walki, broń, formy tradycyjne, Zostanie rozegrany też I Tang Soo Do World Cup, ramach którego będą następujące konkurencje: współczesne formy TSD (chil sung, yuk ro), łamania desek, kopnięcie dosiężne (E Dan Apa Cha Gi).
W Polsce będziesz czuł się jak w domu.

On 17 - 18th October 2009 in Pulawy POLAND the first annual Tang Soo Do World Cup & Cheezic Tang Soo Do World Championships will be held. It will be a great event for Martial Artists of Tang Soo Do from all over the world. All TSD organizations and federations are invited to take part in this international competition. We hope future TSD World Cup tournaments will take place in various counties all over the world.
The guest of honour will be GrandMaster Robert Cheezic 10 dan (USA) - one of the pioneers of TSD in USA and one of the first Americans to get a black belt in TSD MDK. He has been studying and training in TSD for nearly 50 years.
Supporters of the World Cup include GrandMaster Edward Jacobsen from RPA -8 dan TSD and 8 dan Haedong Kumdo, the President of The International Haedong Kumdo & Tang Soo Do Confederation.
Confirmed guests of the World Cup in Poland already count among them Master Aldwin Lee 6 dan TSD and 5 dan Kumdo from Holland and Kyo Sa Nim Johann Grimmer from Germany.
Competitions on the TSD World Cup POLAND 2009:
1) TSD Traditional Forms
2) Semi Contact Sparrings
3) Touch Contact Sparrings for children under 12 years
4) Forms with weapon
5) Breaking - no age limit
6) Special Techniques - Jump Front Kick (height) (E dan Ahp Cha Gi).
And a special competition - separate from official ranking and placement, Poland vs. The Rest of the World in a Light Kick match.
Our aim is to unite different TSD organizations from all over the world through competetive sportsmanship, as well as support the International Haedong Kumdo & Tang Soo Do Confederation. The Confederation, under the leadership of the International Martial Arts Games Committee (IMGC), is attempting to achieve TSD status as an Olympic event under the common name of Martial Arts.
